Countries with high waste production and inadequate waste management systems can become major sources of marine debris, affecting global ocean health.

Traditional methods for cleaning our oceans have included community beach clean-ups and use of boats and nets to collect debris. Although these methods are effective in raising community awareness, larger scale work is needed. Government regulations and policies to reduce waste production has been enacted, but enforcement of these policies can be challenging and this method doesn't remove existing ocean pollution.

Recent innovations include large drifting systems to collect debris in ocean gyres, floating bins used to suck in water and trap debris, oil, and pollutants, and the use of drones to identify where large debris fields are located. Advanced filtration technology that can remove microplastics from the water, focusing on tiny particles that are otherwise very difficult to remove are also being studied

Our Story
In 2024, a group of passionate people came together, united by a shared vision: to tackle the growing crisis of ocean pollution through groundbreaking research and innovation. They felt a deep sense of urgency to find effective solutions. Amidst discussions, they realized that while numerous cleanup efforts were underway, there was a significant gap in dedicated, rigorous research focused solely on developing advanced technologies and methods to clean our oceans more efficiently. Inspired by this insight, the team decided to establish an organization dedicated to this mission of leading the world in cutting edge solutions.
